Single device license

The product CODESYS Control RTE SL is a real-time software PLC for PC-based industrial controllers under Windows. The runtime system has its own real-time kernel, which enables deterministic behavior with jitter in the area without additional hardware components or operating system extensions.

The Mutlicore license CODESYS Control RTE MC SL extends the CODESYS Control RTE SL to include the ability to distribute the IEC application across several CPU cores. The application specifies whether the distribution of tasks is to be completely transferred to the operating system or whether tasks such as motion, communication or visualization should be processed on individual cores. With the multi-core extension, the optimum distribution can be set for each application and monitored via integrated core monitoring.

The license activation is done on a software-based license container (soft container), which is permanently bound to the control system. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS key (USB dongle). By redefining the CODESYS Key, the license can be used on another controller.

Note: Without a license, the software runs in demo mode for two hours. Then a manual restart is required.

This is an application-based license; it requires at least the application-based license CODESYS Control Standard S for the control.
With this license, up to 256 real axes and an additional 256 virtual axes can be operated.

CNC and robotics functionality can optionally be supplemented with the “SoftMotion Axis Groups/CNC Interpolators” license.
